Leone and Storm

"Come on, Storm!"
"Eeeon!"

Leo is having troubles with his new Pokemon. It seems that it didn't want to walk with him.

"We have to get to Viridian City fast!"
"Eeeon!"

Storm didn't want to go on a journey. It just wanted to stay in a safe place and relax. After a few minutes of arguing, a bush rustled somewhere near Leo and Storm. Just then, Storm started growling at something.

"What's wrong?"

[Chronos]

The bush kept on moving, until...

"Piiiiiiiiiiiidgey!"

A bird pokémon came out, flying straight up in the air, twirled and finaly landed on the grass, a few meters away from Storm. It didn't look too happy.

"Nice!...what is it?" he said
"Grrrrr..."

Leo rummaged through his backpack to find his PokeDex. As soon as he found it, he pointed it at the bird Pokemon and the PokeDex then stated:

[PIDGEY: The TinyBird Pokemon. A common sight in forests and woods. It flaps its wings at ground level to kick up blinding sand. Type: Flying/Normal]

"Now then, Storm, use Tackle!" he ordered
"Eeeeon!"

The Jolteon ran in an incredible speed right at Pidgey. A moment before the attack hit, Storm's feet began to glow. It was using Double Kick.

"Darn it, Storm!"
"Eeeon!"

[Chronos]

Though Storm's stubborn determination should've made him miss the bird pokémon, his paws hit directly the Pidgey on the chest.

"Piiii..."

The pokémon got propelled a few meters away, but still seemed in pretty good shape... Which didn't make the angry Jolteon any happier.

Before Leone could give any order, Storm raged towards the Pidgey, preparing a second Double Kick attack. This time, the pidgey foresaw it. The bird flew high up, dodging the lightning pokémon, and hit it with a strong tackle on Storm's back.

"Eeeeeon!"

He seemed OK, but he wasn't much happpier.

"Storm, I know you want to win this as much as I do, but I really need you to follow me!"
"Eeeeon!"

It didn't seem like a 'yes' at all.

"Fine then, use Tackle when it comes down, and this time use Tackle"

It took a while for the Pidgey to be tired out from hovering, and it seemed like Storm was trying his best to be patient. He was twitching with temper. As soon as the TinyBird neared the ground, the quick Jolteon dashed right for it. Leo expected to see Storm's paws to glow again, but alas, it didn't. Instead, a gathering force can be seen in front of the dashing Pokemon as it came close for a hit.

*Good!* he thought to himself

"Full power!"
"Eeeeon!"

[Chronos]

The tackle hit right on spot! The Pidgey was hurt badly... It fell on the ground, incapable of standing straight.

"Piiii..."

It was trying very hard to get up, but it was pointless. It looked at Storm, then at Leone and closed its eyes. There was a brief moment of silence. It then opened its eyes and, even though it was in pain, stood up on one foot and hopped towards Leo, regardless of the Jolteon's growling. It looked straight at the trainer's eyes, kind of telling him that, even if he (Pidgey) failed, he was strong enough to stand up and fight by Leo's side.

Leo stared at the injured Pidgey with respect. Meanwhile, Storm was still growling at him.

"That's enough, Storm. I think it doesn't want to battle anymore."

But the Jolteon insisted. It rammed at the poor Pidgey causing it to fall on its back and fall unconscious.

"Nooo!"
"Eeeeeon!" it said with pride.
"That's it, Storm. Return in your Pokeball."

Leo pointed the only Great Ball he had to the disobedient Pokemon. He expected a red light to beam out of it, but it did nothing.

"Huh? What's wrong?" he said, confused.

He shrugged at what happened for a while and directed his attention to the unconscious TinyBird Pokemon. He knelt next to it and observed it for a while. He decided to rummage his pack and search for a Pokeball. Once he had it, he tapped it on the Pidgey's head. It opened and absorbed the TinyBird.

"Just stay in there little guy. I'll have you in a Pokemon Center in no time." he whispered to the shaking ball.

Storm was staring at Leo, but not in an angry way like the first time they met. This time, it was different...

And Leone, along with Storm, ran to Viridian City to get the wounded Pidgey to the PokéCenter. Meanwhile, Storm looked impressed by the careness of his trainer.
